We met Kathleen during the 4th quarter of 2019 through my daughters (she had helped them find their condos). Our search started in Boston. Kathleen was very honest telling us that she did not normally work at the higher end of the market but said she was a quick study a very hard worker & that her skills would easily scale-up. After working with Kathleen it was obvious that she was all that she said. She was a VERY hard worker honest & was totally focused on helping to meet our needs. She would go above & beyond in every way to aid us with our search. After several months of looking we decided to expand our search to the suburbs we narrowed our focus on the Wellesley & Weston markets.Once again Kathleen informed us that these were new markets for her however she was up for the challenge. Kathleen attacked both of those markets with gusto & eased our learning curve by doing significant research & reconnaissance. Upon reviewing Kathleen's findings we decided to focus our search primarily in Wellesley. After about 30+ days it became apparent that the Wellesley market was "hot" & extremely hard to break into; due to low inventory and high demand. By then we had really fallen in love with the area proximity to everything we wanted & the great vibes of the community so our mission was to find a home there.We should mention that we lived in the south so the quickest we could get to the Boston area was about 24 hours. This became a large obstacle because the houses we were interested in were listing & selling in less than 36 hours. Despite Kathleen's best efforts she could not get leads any earlier than we could & by then it was too late the houses were under offer. We literally found ourselves in a couple of situations where we would arrive as a house was listed have a showing arranged only to have it canceled before we could get in because an offer had been made & accepted.Based on the above experiences Kathleen made the ultimate sacrifice. She agreed that if we wanted to get a home in the Wellesley market we would be best served by a local Wellesley agent due to their connections & the market dynamics. Kathleen identified and made a referral for us to a great local agent. We knew how difficult this handoff was for Kathleen but she wanted us to have the best chance to find a home in that market and did what was best for us.It is because of everything that I described above that I would recommend Kathleen without any hesitation to anyone who wants an honest agent who will work tirelessly for their client and go through walls to get the job done even if it means having to refer them to a competitor. I can tell you without reservation that we would definitely use Kathleen for any subsequent needs we may have for a second home in the city or the Cape. She is a true professional who clearly cares about her clients.
